Guide

Sign a PDF on iPhone Without Printing

Short answer

To sign a PDF on iPhone with PlainCopy, open the document, tap Sign, draw your signature once, and drag it onto the page. The signed copy is saved with no watermark and stays yours even if Pro ends. Sign is a Pro feature; it places a signature, it does not fill form fields.

How Do I Sign a Scanned Document?

Scan or import the document, open it and tap Sign. Draw your signature with a finger, then drag it where it belongs, pinch or use the slider to size it, and tap Save Signed Copy. The signed copy is a new PDF in your library; the original stays as it was.

Can I Reuse My Signature?

Yes. PlainCopy keeps up to three saved signatures on your iPhone, so the next document is a tap. Delete a saved signature at any time.

Can I Fill In Form Fields?

Not in this version. PlainCopy places a drawn signature on a page; it does not type text into fields. For a paper form, fill it in by hand, scan it, sign it and send it.

Will a Drawn Signature Be Accepted?

That depends on who asked for the document and the rules where you live, so PlainCopy cannot promise it. Some documents need a verified electronic signature service instead. Ask the recipient if you are not sure.

How Do I Send the Signed PDF?

Tap Share. Email attaches it with the document name as the subject, Files saves it to any folder, and with Pro you can add a password or use a Send To destination. The signed PDF never gets a watermark.
